Mangaluru, Apr 4: A Muslim woman residing at Adyapady Site near Bajpe has filed a complaint of rape attempt against a youth who had visited her home. The man also filed counter complaint against the woman.
The husband of the complainant works abroad, and the couple have two children. Supreet (26), a resident of Adyapady, the woman said in her complaint, knocked at the door of her house at around 11 pm on Saturday and tried to rape her when she opened the door.
Contradicting the claim of the woman, Supreet said in his complaint that the woman had called him over phone to invite him to visit her at 11 pm. He said that when he went there, people from the area beat him up.
Bajpe police have registered both the complaints and begun investigation. Supreet stands arrested.
