Mangaluru, Apr 4: The discomposed mortal remains of a man were found near Natekal within Konaje police station limits here on Sunday April 3. The body was found hanging from a tree there.

The deceased has been identified as Nithun (32) from Assam. Nithun had come here seeking to work as coolie after the death of his mother a few months ago. A few of his relatives had also come to the city with him to work on daily basis.

It is said that over three weeks back, he had left the accommodation hired by his group at Balepuni, telling his relatives that he would come back after visiting the city. He went missing ever since.

On Sunday, his decomposed body was found hanging from a tree by the side of a plantation. The policemen, who were informed about this find, went there and took up investigation. They found identity card and cash in the clothes on the body on the basis of which the deceased's identity was established.

Nithun, who was working in Balepuni area since the last about six months, stayed in a rented house there. His relatives visited Konaje police station and provided his details.
