Bantwal: Teenage boy dies, case filed against uncle

Bantwal, Apr 4: A 16-year-old boy succumbed to injuries he sustained after he was hit by his uncle, at a private hospital at Puttur on Sunday April 3. The deceased has been identified as Sachin (16), son of Ganesh Naik from Saroltadka in Kadeshwalya in the taluk. Ganesh's elder brother, Sundar Naik, is said to be responsible for the boy's death.

Three brothers, Gopal Naik, Sundar Naik, and Ganesh Naik, live in neighbouring houses at Saroltadka. It is said that on March 27, Sundar Naik came to Sachin when the latter was in the courtyard of Gopal Naik, and hit him in the cheeks, duly accusing him of stealing his mobile phone and sickle. Thereafter, Sachin started to suffer from bouts of ill health.

Sachin was a tenth standard student of Kadeshwalya government high school. He was already under immense pressure on account of final examinations, and the ill health caused after he was hit, took away his self confidence, it is said. Sachin appeared for Kannada examination conducted on March 30. Since Saturday, his health condition turned serious, and the family members admitted him into a private hospital at Puttur. Sachin did not show improvement in his health condition, and died at around 4 am on Sunday April 3.

A complaint filed in the rural station here has stated that Sachin died after blood supply to his brain was affected after his uncle, Sundar Naik, hit him in the cheeks. The policemen are hunting for Sundar Naik, who is absconding.

Rural station house officer here, Rakshit Gowda, and other personnel visited the spot, conducted inquest, registered a case, and took up investigation.

    So sad,a Young Boy ,had to die because a grown up man didnt know how to handle a Boy when he seems to be stolen his mobile and sickle hit him on cheeks.Really to tell the truth,I feel here is something wrong.only hitting on cheeks one doesn't die ,as per Attest lack of blood supply to brain means ,his beating must have on the head or just near the ear fallen.what about sickle?why the Boy wanted sickle?Proper Investigation should be done.Or uncle had got hold of neck out of Anger and went wrong there?when hit on cheek,must be mark there.Even neck also,choked .It happened sure unwanted,sadly the Boy died.HEARTFELT SYMPATHY TO THE PARENTS AND FAMILY.Uncle,tell the truth,so that the Boys Soul may rest in peace.Surrender to Police.Hiding is not for ever.Your mind will not be in peace.
