Mangaluru, Apr 7: Jyoti (15), residing at Kullangal House near Soorinje, Suratkal, committed suicide at her residence on Tuesday April 5 by hanging herself. She was a first PU student of a college near Kateel, it is gathered.
The policemen are of the opinion that the girl ended her life because of the frustration she underwent over failing in the annual examination. Jyoti's mother, Rajeevi, who belongs to Tamil Nadu, has filed a complaint in the police station at Suratkal about this unnatural death. Father of the student works in a shipping company at Panambur, it is learnt.
Suratkal police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
