Mangaluru: Two-wheeler rider dies in accident at Karnad Junction

Mangaluru, Apr 7: A two-wheeler rider was killed in a road accident involving a pick-up truck at Karnad Junction near Mulky on Wednesday April 6 morning.

Naveen (45), a resident of Padupanambur, was killed in the accident. Naveen was moving in his Kenetic Honda scooter at about 7.10 am via Karnad Junction, when a pick-up truck hit him. Naveen suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital immediately, but he died sometime thereafter at the hospital.

The pick-up truck driver fled from the scene immediately after the accident. A case about the accident stands registered in the city (north) traffic police station at Suratkal. Investigation is on.
