Agnesian alumnae meet - Hilma Roach re-elected prez

Bengaluru, Apr 7: On a lovely Sunday morning, April 3, 140 lovely ladies beautifully attired in pink and blue, came together at Catholic Club Bengaluru for the annual general body meeting of the Agnesian Alumnae Association.

In the presence of Sr Supriya, principal and Sr Jeswina, vice-principal, they sang the College anthem with nostalgia.

President Hilma Roach welcomed the gathering. Sr Supriya and Sr Jeswina addressed the alumnae and spoke among other things of the run-up to the centenary.

The report of the preceding year and the accounts were presented and passed.

Hilma Roach who has been doing a marvellous job as president was elected unanimously for another term. Secretary Shobha D'Souza and treasurer Judith D'Cunha were also elected unopposed and the other committee members too agreed to continue. Prajwal Mathias thanked the gathering.

This was followed by a humourous skit on the English language enacted by Marjorie Texeira and Tina Joseph who then conducted an interesting game of housie.

The MC of the day Dr Vibha Marla had everyone in splits of laughter as she conducted various games that were both amusing and entertaining. Participation was enthusiastic and all the members whose ages ranged from 23 to 85 years had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

The association also made a collection of Rs 20,000 to sponsor the studies of one student which was handed over to Sr Supriya.

A sumptuous lunch followed and all dispersed promising to meet again soon.
