Thank God, there have been showers in many parts of Karnataka. Let's hope there will be some more showers, and that they would be more widespread.

Karnataka (especially most parts of North Karnataka), which has had deficient rainfall during the past 2 years, is facing the severest drought situation in the past 40 years.

Let's all hope and pray that God will be merciful this year, and give us normal rains, which would safeguard the livelihoods of millions of our struggling farmers and people living in rural and semi-urban areas of the State.
