Kolar: Four employees of software company killed in accident

Kolar, Apr 12: After a car hit a gas tanker that was moving ahead, four persons died, while the other occupant of the car suffered serious injuries. The accident occurred near Khajikallahalli Gate on national highway in the taluk on Monday April 11.

All the deceased were employees of Oracle software company at Bengaluru. They were from Andhra Pradesh. The deceased have been identified as Srinath (34) from Renugunta, Andhra Pradesh, Amarendra Babu (39) from Tammagondahalli, Chandrashekhar (30) from Kannagiri, and Venkatanarendra Reddy (27) from Renugunta. Bharat Kumar Reddy (30), who was seriously injured, stands admitted into a hospital.

All of them were on a visit to their native place on account of Ugadi festival. When returning to Bengaluru on Monday, their car dashed against a gas tanker from behind, reportedly on account of recklessness of the car driver. Three of the deceased lost their lives on the spot, while the other lost his life on way to the hospital, sources said.
