Mangaluru: Harinath, Lobo offer prayers for rain, prosperity

Mangaluru, Apr 19: Mayor of Mangaluru city corporation, Harinath along with MLA, J R Lobo offered pooja at Kadri temple for rains and prosperity on Tuesday April 19.


Parjanya Japa was offered for the rains while mass prayers were offered for prosperity.

Speaking on the occasion MLA of Mangaluru south constituency Lobo said, "We have scarcity of water and conditions of famine everywhere. Today we have prayed at the temple for rains. We will also be praying at the mosques during the Friday prayer and in churches during Sunday prayers."

The prayers were offered under the leadership of Vittal Das tantri, priests Rama Adiga and Dr Prabhakar Adiga.

Dakshina Kannada Sahitya Parishad Pradeep Kumar Kalkoora, administrator of the temple Ningayya orporators Ashok DK, Nagaveni, congress leaders T K Sudhir were present at the occasion.

    Let each of us pray for good and do good in every respect. Let God grant us proper seasons. claimatic changes are real dangers for servaival. Let our prayer and good deed produce the much needed resources.Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.
