Mangaluru: Injured KPT lecturer in road accident passes away

Mangaluru, Apr 21: The KPT lecturer who was seriously injured and hospitalized after a tanker hit his scooter from behind, passed away late night on Tuesday, April 19 without responding to treatment.

Sushanth Kumar (28), son of Thoudugoli residents by origin and now residents of Someshwara Kolya, Chandappa Naik and Chandrakala couple is the person who died in the accident. He was bachelor and working in KPT for the last three years.

After diploma in KPT, Sushanth passed his engineering at Mysore JSS. He had worked in Padubidri Suzlan for two years and MRPL, Bykampady for a year before working at KPT as a full time lecturer. Being resourceful, he was loved and respected by his students. He has left behind three brothers and a sister.

He was coming to Someshwar at night on Monday April 18 after Mehendi function of his friend. The speeding tanker hit his scooter from behind. He was admitted to A J Hospital in a serious condition. He has passed away on Tuesday night.

A police case has been registered at Panambur police station.
