Karkala, Apr 22: After a motor bike moved away from the road and fell into a roadside ditch on the night of Wednesday April 20, its rider lost his life. The accident occurred near Yennehole in the taluk, but was noticed by road users with inordinate delay.

Prabhakar Kulal (38), a resident of Nakre in Kukkundoor village, was returning home after attending a marriage-related function at Ajekar, when tragedy struck.

No one had noticed that Kulal had fallen into the ditch. Some pedestrians saw him after about two hours of the accident. It was too late then, as he had lost his life due to excessive bleeding.

It is gathered that Prabhakar was living in Mumbai before shifting to his native place two years back. He worked as driver. He is survived by wife, Kiran, and son, Nithesh. A case about the accident was filed in Ajekar police station on the basis of report filed by his brother, Satish.
