Suspected heat stroke - pedestrian collapses, dies on road

Puttur, Apr 25: A pedestrian collapsed and died on Sunday April 24. Dinda Gowda (68) from Muliya in Kodimbala village was walking to Kadaba downtown from his home, when the incident occurred. His death is suspected to have occurred due to heat stroke. Gqwda is survived by wife, a son, and two daughters.

Some people who saw him lying on the road, called 108 ambulance service. By the time ambulance arrived at the spot, ants had swarmed the body. He was immediately taken to Kadaba community hospital where the doctors confirmed him brought dead.

Dinda Gowda, it is gathered, was diabetic. Sources in the hospital expressed the opinion that he would have died of heat stroke because of high temperatures experienced in the area.
