Mysuru, Apr 27: Political foes for decades, former Prime Minister Deve Gowda and former chief minister S M Krishna shared a same platform on Wednesday, April 26 in city which gave them opportunity to praise each other forgetting their rivalry.

The occasion was inaugural function of H D Deve Gowda community hall i K R Nagara near here.

Deve Gowda who inaugurated the hall said in his speech" It is nice to share the dais with former union minister S M Krishna. It is God’s wish."

Later S M Krishna in his address said “Deve Gowda is the first Kannadiga prime minister. He has made our land proud. I and Gowda have been in opposite parties for more than 50 years. We have come here forgetting our political differences. "

Kumaraswamy who spoke later also praised the governance during Krishna's time. “Krishna faced Cauvery River dispute, Dr Rajkumar’s kidnap and major drought problems during his tenure. Yet he delivered good governance." HDK said. He also used that opportunity to criticize Siddaramaiah. "Four farmers die every day. But Siddaramaiah behaves as if he does not live in this planet." HDK added.
