Puttur: Facing financial crisis, man kills himself

Puttur, May 2: Nagesh Gowda alias Ramanna Gowda (40), residing at Kalladka House in Golithottu village near Uppinangady in the taluk ended his life. Reportedly, he was overwhelming by the thoughts of having to clear a huge burden of debt that he had accumulated over the years.

Ramanna, who lived with wife and three daughters, it is gathered, had raised loans from private lenders. He was facing problems, as he was finding it impossible to repay them. He was not to be seen since Saturday April 30 evening.

During searches conducted on Sunday, his body was found lying inside the forests adjoining his house. A bottle of poison was found lying by the side. On the basis of a complaint filed by Ramanna's brother, Koragappa, Uppinangady police registered a case of unnatural death.
