Bengaluru, May 8: Former minister, K H Srinivas, warned that the fight to unseat Sri Raghaveshwarateertha Swamiji of Ramachandrapur Math being carried out under the banner of Samana Manaska Vedike will continue till this purpose is achieved. He accused the Swamiji of abandoning age-old customs and traditions of performing pula to Lord Chandramouleshwara, accusing the Swamiji of getting too busy with the efforts to save his own position as the spiritual head of the said Math. Srinivas also said that the Swamiji has lost the grace of the Lord because of his ulterior ways.

"After the lower court dismissed the rape case filed by Premalata against the Swamiji, both Premalata and the government have gone on appeal. Some devotees and the Swamiji are celebrating victory, overlooking this aspect, which is meaningless. The government should appoint an administrative officer to properly look into the administration of the Math, as the people in general are in the dark about the goings on there. The government should intervene to ensure that the huge assets of the Match do not face peril," he said.

He accused Sri Raghaveshwarateertha Swamiji of being unable to directly reject the charges levelled against him, and instead, seeking recourse to deliverance of provocative speeches in the name of discourses, thus misleading people. He urged the Swamiji to demit his position forthwith.
