Mangaluru, May 8: Ullal police arrested two persons for illegally storing Ganja and trying to sell it.
Ganja weighing 7.200 kg, worth Rs 84,000 was seized from them. The arrested are Mohammed Iqbal alias Ahmed Bava (27), resident of Ullal Bailu Chennayyaragudde and Mohammed Azeez (34), resident of Naringana Thoudugoli cross.
Police sub inspector who received definite information that a person was selling Ganja in Ullalbail Anil compound grounds arrested Mohammed Iqbal and seized 2.200 kg Ganja worth Rs 24,000.
The police further raided the house of Mohammed Azeez at Nethilapadavu, seized 5 kg Ganja from him and arrested two persons.
The raids were conducted by Ullal police sub inspector H Shivaprakash, crime branch officer Rajendra B and staff Mohan, Rajaram, Ranjith, Mahesh, Prashanth and Ravichandra.
