Udupi: Newlyweds meet with accident - hospitalized

Udupi, May 9: After a car in which a newlymarried couple was moving to the house of the groom after the marriage function met with an accident involving a truck, both of them suffered serious injuries. The accident occurred near Kushavathi in Thirthahalli on Sunday May 8.

Mariage of Pradeep Shetty (28) had been performed with bride, Arpita Shetty (20), at the residence of the girl at Nyamati in Honnali taluk, Davanagere district, on Sunday. After the function, the entourage of the groom's side was bound for the groom's house at Hinjoor, Kokkarne near Brahmavar in the taluk.

Both the newlyweds stand admitted into a private hospital at Manipal. Thirthahalli police sub-inspector, Bharat, visited the spot, conducted investigation, and registered case.
