Nearly 30 selected from State in UPSC examinations, two from coast

Mangaluru, May 11: The results of 2015 UPSC examinations have been announced and more than 30 students from Karnataka have been selected for IAS,IPS and IPF by securing ranks.

Darshan from Davanagere has secured 48 th rank.

Annapurna Garg- 68th rank. Srinivasa Gowda R - 105 rank, Mohammed Ikramulla Sharif from Sagar Shimoga- 111 rank, Mithun Kumar G K - 130 rank, Asim Anwar- 149 rank, Nivya P Shetty- 274 rank, Shruthi -322 rank, Mischel D' Costa- 387 rank, Pavan Kumar G Giriappanavar- 420 rank, N Sathish -453 rank, Chikkamagalur district's Manjunatha H S- 566 rank, Vidyavathi R S- 600 rank, Shruthi P -617 rank, B G Gagan - 665 rank, Pradeep K P -685 rank, Nagesh D L 782-rank, Pramod Nayak 779-rank, Hanumatha Raju- 898 rank, Chitradurga origin Sukhaputra N O- 917 rank, Akash S- 959 rank, Bairappa P V- 1037 rank are the rank holders from the state.

Some of the rank holders have shared their experience in the hard work and achievement. Some have been selected for civil services outside IAS. They want to write for IAS examinations once again.

Kundapur taluk Thombattu, former public prosecutor Prakash Shetty's daughter Nivya P Shetty has secured 274th rank and selected for IPS. Mishal Queenie D' Costa from Niddodi grama Neerude has secured 387th rank. She is the second daughter of Lazarus D' Costa and Nancy D' Costa couple.

    Earlier is was North Indians who were dominating in UPSC exams. Now good to see lot of Kannadigas clearing UPSC with rank.     our Mangalorean students can surely shine in UPSC exams. Just becoming a book worm will not give results. Most important is General Knowledge. This can be achieved if Students go through the Newspapers daily. Secondly know about History. This is lacking with us.
