Puttur: Results of 'Poovari Sahitya Prashasthi' competition announced

Puttur, May 14: The results of 'Poovari Sahitya Prashasthi' competitions held by Yashas Prakashana, Hebbarabailu in order to encourage Tulu literary talents are announced in 'Nele', magazine run
by Janapada scholar Dr Palthadi Ramakrishna Achar Bedrala.





Among stories, 'Runo' story by Shashikala Varkady Bantwal has won first prize. 'Chomana Daivo', by Akshatha Raj Perla Kasargod second prize and 'Aseda Neer' by Narayana Rai Kukkuvalli has won third prize.

Among poems 'Korambu' by Sharada A Anchan Mumbai has won first prize, 'Gadinada Tulunada Bolli' by Shantarama Shetty Bengaluru second prize and 'Purubalegad' by Rithesh Kiran Katukukke, has won third prize. 'Benni' by Chethan Mundaje Bantwal has received special appreciation.

In the drawing on postcard competition, among senior students, Hithesh H Bhandary Udupi has won first prize and Srikanth Poojary Biravu Kabaka second prize. Among junior students, Bhavitha B Madavu has won first prize and Charith B Keyyuru has won second prize.

Yashas Prakashana Hebbarabailu publisher Vijayakumar Bhandary Hebbarabailu has said that the awards will be presented in Poovari reader's conference scheduled in Puttur.
