Mangaluru, May 14: Three persons were injured as a result of a fight between two groups relating to a money matter at Kodi in Ullal.

Hussein Palliabba (42), Mohammed Thousif (28) from one group and Abdul Azim (43) from another group, are the persons injured. They are taking treatment at a private hospital in Thokkottu. All are the residents of Kodi.

As per the details of the case, Abdul Azim alias European Azim had borrowed Rs 40,000 from Hussein Palliabba while he was abroad. Even after five years the money was not returned to Palliabba. When Azim was travelling in his bike, Palliabba asked him money on Saturday night. Abdul Azim started using abusive words and hit Palliabba and Thousif with a lock, complained the first group.

Abdul Azim had alleged in his complaint that while he was on his bike, Khabur Amiz, Jaldi Siddique, Hussein Palliabba and Thousif stopped him and attacked with a plank. He also said that as he is a member of Dargah committed and is known to be associated with a group there, he has been attacked by the alleged attackers.

Both the complaints have been registered at Ullal police station.

Police personnel were seen outside the hospital in Thokkottu.
