Bagalkot: Tipper - Tumtum accident takes away seven lives

Bagalkot, May 16: After a tipper truck and a small passenger vehicle, Tumtum, got involved in a collision on the outskirts of Lokapur of Mudhol taluk on the road leading to the district headquarters, seven persons from a single family died, while four others suffered serious injuries. The accident occurred on Sunday May 15.

The tipper that was moving at high speed from Lokapur hit a Tumtum that was coming from Bagalkot, causing this ghastly accident.

The deceased were Lalita Maruti, Reshma Lakkappa, Yamanur Arjun, Anand Hanamant Killikyatar, Darshana Maruti, Somavva Tammanna Killikyatar and Suresh Killikyatar. The policemen said that all of them belonged to Chichakhandi Bike village of Mudholl taluk. The injured are Arjun from the same village, who was driving the Tumtum, Maruti Subraya, Hemalata and Manjula. All of them are on treatment at a private hospital.
