Udupi: Sasthan church Gurkar Mark Alva electrocuted

Udupi, May 20: Mark Alva (70), dynamic Gurkar of St Antony Church Sasthan, and resident of Alsebettu, Airody in the taluk, lost his life when cleaning the terrace of his house on Thursday May 19. It is gathered that electric shocks shook him violently immediately after he touched a bundle of cables on the terrace with wet hands.


Mark has left behind wife and two daughters. He had worked in foreign country for several years, and after retirement, had volunteered to work in the parish council of the church, school development and monitoring committee, and others organizations and institutions.

A case about the incident was registered in Kota police station.
