Sahamatha Film Society to conduct two day film festival

Mangaluru, May 23: As part of the ongoing programme of conducting a series of film festivals for film enthusiasts and fresh movie buffs, Sahamatha film society will be conducting a two day film festival here in the city, in the first week of August.

Samanvaya Manujamatha whatsapp group has been organizing a series of film festivals for the past one year to promote group film viewing and critical film reading.

Last August, the first film festival was organized at Kuppalli, Shimoga for two days. On March it was the turn of Hassan Chitra Samaja and this month from May 21 to 22 it was Udupi Chitra Samaja which organized the two days film festival.

Sahamatha Film Society, has taken up the responsibility of conducting the next film festival in the week of August. The festival will be for two days, with acommodation for 60 people of different age groups. There will be film society members and film enthusiasts from all over the state. 40 percent of the numbers will be reserved for local cinema lovers and film activists. The festival will be a residential one with film viewing and accommodation at the same venue. Tentative dates are Saturday August 6 and Sunday August 7.

The society invites all to join them in organising the festival by helping them in deciding the main theme of the festival, selection of national international films and offer valuable suggestions. Please reply at the earliest.
