Bengaluru: MLA Moideen Bava says his loyalty is with Congress

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jun 1: In the eye of storm over filing of nomination by his brother, B M Farooq, for Rajya Sabha seat as an official candidate of JDS, Mangalore North MLA, B A Moideen, said that he remains loyal to the Congress. He said he will openly cast his vote during Rajya Sabha election to Congress candidate and prove his sincerity towards the party.

It may be recalled that chief minister, Siddaramaih, had questioned Moideen , in the meeting of MLAs about his brother's candidature in the Rajya Sabha election and also expressed his resentment over this development. Giving clarification to media persons over this issue on Tuesday May 31, Moideen Bava confessed that indeed the chief minister had questioned him over his brother's candidature. He said that he had tried his best to dissuade his brother from contesting the election, but his efforts did not bear fruits.

"I am maintaining silence now on the issue to avoid being blamed for being a stumbling block in the political aspirations of my brother. I am not involved with businesses of my brother either as a partner or in other capacities. I will be very happy if Congress candidates win Rajya Sabha election. If my brother wins, I will no doubt congratulate him," he stated.

sir... they don't deserve your loyalty. they need money and votebank... or else Sidderamaiah wouldn't have spoken against you like that... how dare he. he is there ( at least for few more days ) because of you people... if you leave his hand... he will collapse... he should realize that. any ways, please get disconnected from Congress... it's a vanishing party and becomes a part of history soon.
