Udupi: Infant comes under wheels of goods vehicle, dies on spot

Udupi, Jun 2: In a tragic incident, a one-year, four months old male infant came under the wheels of Mahindra goods vehicle belonging to Kemmannu Thonse Resort at Kemmannu and died on spot here on Thursday, June 2.

Basavaraj, the only child of Gadaga district, Shirahatti taluk Jalligeri residents Rajappa and Sharanavva couple was playing with his mother while he got stuck under the wheels of the speeding goods vehicle entering the resort.

The body of the infant was cut into pieces and thrown in the impact killing the infant instantly.

The family was staying near the resort on rent for the last three months. Rajappa was constructing the boundary wall for the resort and the infant was playing with the mother nearby.
