Dubai, June 7: Little Flowers Mukamar (LFM), is all geared up to promote Konkani music to next level. This time they are ready to experiment with a new innovative show called “Jill Mil Taran’chi Sangeeth Sanz”, Little Flowers Konkani Speaking Teenager’s Musical Concert.

The uniqueness of the event is; Gulf born and brought up Konkani-speaking children, native Catholics from Mangalore, and Udupi Diocese will be brought together under one roof and will present an exclusive full-fledged Konkani Musical Nite show.

Perhaps this will be first of its kind event to be held in the entire Gulf Konkani Industry. Interestingly, performers like singers, musicians, dancers, comedians, painting artists, poetry reciters and comperes are children aged over six years to below 21 years.

In a media release, president of the Little Flowers Mukamar association explained the reason behind this unique attempt and said that the idea of presenting the Teenager’s Musical concert is to identify and showcase gulf’s Konkani’s best Unknown acts and creative talents. Beside encouraging all budding talents, provide them a standard platform and to make aware of the unique talents available in around the gulf Konkani Community.

The first round of selections will be held at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama on June 24, 2016 at 5 pm onwards. Those who are selected during the audition will be given a chance to perform during Little Flowers Mukamar’s 6th anniversary bash on September 30, 2016. (Venue will be announced later).

Little Flowers of Mukamar have requested all the Child / Teenage creative artistes who are residing in any of the emirates to submit their profile based on the following prerequisites:

 

Rules and Regulations

1. Konkani Speaking Catholic children of Mangalurean / Udupi Diocese origin, born and brought up or those who have studied consecutive 5 Years in any gulf countries, residing in the UAE are allowed to take part in the audition.

2. The children can audition for singing, dance and can showcase any other talents like Mimicry, Humour/Skit/Jokes, Anchor/Compere, playing musical instruments, short-poetry, Drawing & Painting, Magic or any unique creativity they may possess.

3. The presentation language is strictly in Konkani for all the categories. Other languages will not entertained. Songs or bits of songs of other languages are not allowed. For an example – ‘Maria Pitache’ (Portuguese), ‘Nakkuva Pori’, ‘Gollyant Sanklli Sonnyachi’ (both Marathi), ‘Surangani’ (Sri Lankan), etc.

4. The duration of the presentation should not exceed 5 minutes and should not be less than 3 minutes.

5. Children should be above six years and below sixteen years and for the Musicians the age limit is 21 years. All Participants should complete his/her birthday on June 20, 2016 to be eligible to participate in the respective category. All participants must bring the proof of age while coming to the Audition.

6. The Selection of the song, Creativity and the dance style has to be relevant to the musical Concert.

7. The first round of selections will be held at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama on June 24, 2016. All participants should report at the venue by 5pm sharp.

8. All participants must get their own music track in MP3 or WAV format.

9. The participants should be accompanied by parents or guardians.

10. A participant can take part in all the above categories but cannot take part twice in a Category. In case selected in two different categories in audition round, he or she will be allowed to perform only in one category at the musical event.

11. The selection will be done strictly on merit. The decision of the judges and managing committee will be final. No dispute regarding the same will be entertained.

12. The organizing committee reserves the right to make changes in the rules or cancel any item of the event without prior notice in the case of insufficient entries or for any other valid reason.

13. Those selected from the audition round will be trained by mentors in different categories.

14. If selected in the audition round, the child should be available for training by mentors, which will be held on Friday / Saturday afternoons in the month of September.

15. Those who are selected during the audition will be given a chance to perform during Little Flowers Mukamar’s 6th anniversary on September 30, 2016. (Venue will be announced later).

16. Every entry must have the following details written/printed neatly on a separate sheet of paper.
