Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jun 8: The state high court, which has been hearing a petition seeking interim bail filed by Naresh Shenoy, main accused in the case of murder of RTI activist, Vinayak P Baliga on March 21 this year, has fixed June 9 as the date for pronouncing orders.

On Tuesday, advocate for Naresh, Shyam Sundar presented arguments on behalf of his client. Thereafter, government advocate, Nawaz, placing his arguments, said that the murder was committed in connection with alleged irregularities in the running of Lord Venkataramana temple at Mangaluru and that Naresh Shenoy resorted to this drastic step as he has considerable hold on the temple affairs.

On behalf of victim's father, Ramachandra Baliga, advocate, Raveendranath Kamath, placed his arguments seeking to reject bail petition. On this occasion, Ramachandra Baliga also filed an affidavit to the effect that his son was got murdered by Naresh Shenoy.

After hearing both the sides, the high court posted the case to June 9 for final verdict in the case.

Vinayak Baliga had raised his voice against the misdeeds of the administration of Shree Venkataramana temple. Is it wrong???
Because of some crooks the entire community is being tainted. Is it acceptable??
I request my friends GSBians, please wake up. Just for one murderer, don't spoil the image of your temple and community. See the plight of Baliga's family / parents and help them to get justice.

It is big joke in the History of DK police and crime investigations where every person involved has mobile phones and every person has d gadgets to find out the location of the accused.
The police can find out calls made to the lawyer and trace the calls.
A person of such a high profile is not going to hide in a rat hole.
He must be in a star hotel and we are just scapegoats.

What is the connection between present government and the Baliga murder? not clear to me . Please clarify.

As the driver of present MP , associate, future youth MLA of BJP ( now absconding, Mr Kamath) is a suspect, I need to ask mangaloreans- do we lament on criminalization of politics? if so what is our stand on voting these people? Would be still vote for them because of their party or religion or community?

Everybody knows BJP is fully involved in the case. RSS, BD and BJP are trying to save Nari, not only through court bail but other means also. So far BJP has won the game. GSB community slowly feeling the pinch and coming out one by one in support of Baliga. GSB bigwigs also know that Baliga's fate also waits for them if they keep quit still further.
