Udupi: Theft accused absconding since 2010, arrested

Udupi, Jun 8: Manipal police have arrested a theft suspect absconding since 2010 and have sent him to judicial custody after producing in court.


Jagadish Naika (29) resident of Herga Sannakkibettu is the accused.

Jagadish Naika was arrested for stealing jewellery from a house. He had escaped without appearing for court hearing.

He had also worked temporarily In KMC till recently during the period he way absconding, police said.

Manipal police station sub inspector Harisha and constable Ashok spread a net after receiving definite information and arrested him in Sannakkibettu on Tuesday. He was ordered by districts and sessions court on Wednesday, June 8 to be in judicial custody.
