Missing girl from Katipalla traced in Thane, police bring her home

Mangaluru, Jun 9: A school going girl who went missing in Katipalla on June 5, was traced in Thane near Mumbai in Maharashtra. Now she has been brought back home with the courtesy of Thane police personnel.

Ayisha (12) was handed over to her family by the Thane police at Mangaluru airport by the Thane police in the presence of Mangaluru North MLA Moideen Bava on Wednesday, June 8. Dr Bhaskar, Althaf, Abubakar and Usman were also present.

Ayisha is the daughter of Rubeida of Mumbai origin. Ayisha had come 6 months back for her studies to the district and was going to school. She had gone to a shop at Katipalla to buy biscuits on June 5 and did not return home. Surathkal police registered a missing complaint on the same day.

Ayisha was found at Thane by the railway police. She was brought to Mangaluru under the guidance of police officer Prakash Bhandary.

Ayisha says she was kidnapped by masked persons who came in an auto rickshaw. Other details are yet to be known.

    children kidnapped can be used in begging organ trafficking prostitution. govt is not doing anything to safeguard our children all govt congi bjp with rssvhp,bajrang, all are same. they talk of big developments but cannot provide small securities to our children only increasing taxes.

    What a great relief to know that Aiysha is back! Thank God. Law needs to be strengthened for kidnapping. Nothing less than death penalty for human trafficking.

    Wants to investigate in to detail.
    Kidnap is on rise in coastal region.
    No body safe.
    It shows how active police of mumbai.

    She was kidnapped for mistaken identity, after reaching Bombay they realized and abandoned her in Railway Station. Thank God she is safe now.
