Kasargod: Political enmity - family members beaten up at Kukkapady

Kasargod, Jun 12: A gang barged into a house at Kukkapady in Delampady village in the district on the night of Thursday June 9 and attacked the residents of the house.

The family which was at the receiving end of this attack belonged to Thimmappa Naik, a resident of Kukkapady. Sulochana, wife of Thimmappa Naik, and her mother Ratnavati, who suffered injuries in this attack, have got admitted into the government hospital here.

The family members said eight CPM activists hit them, duly accusing them of casting their votes in favour of BJP candidates in the assembly election from Uduma assembly constituency held in the recent past. A case stands registered about this attack in Adur police station.
