Bengaluru: Man gets entangled in fishing net, drowns

Bengaluru, Jun 15: A person who was catching fish got stuck in the fishing net and drowned in the lake. The incident occurred at Madiwala lake in the city on the evening of Monday June 13. The deceased has been identified as Kumar (30).

Fishing has been banned in Madiwala lake. Kumar was engaged in fishing at this lake in the cover of darkness at night as he perhaps wanted not to be noticed. When he got entangled in his own fishing net, no one was around, and therefore, nobody came to his rescue.

The body of Kumar was taken out of the lake on Tuesday morning after someone noticed the body there. A case about the death was registered in Bommanahalli police station here.
