Accident involving multiple vehicles at Thokkottu leaves three injured

Mangaluru, Jul 8: In an accident involving three vehicles which occurred on national highway at Ambika Road, Thokkottu near here on Thursday July 7 evening, three persons were injured.


A Maruti Swift car moving towards the city from Kasargod hit an auto rickshaw that was moving ahead, after the driver lost control. The car, which was moving at considerable speed, then jumped over the divider and fell on the opposite lane. At the same time, another Swift car coming from behind also jumped over to the other side of the highway. Both these cars hit a motor bike that was moving on the other lane towards Kolya from the city and injured two people moving by the two-wheeler.

Both the injured motor bike riders were admitted into hospital.

In this accident, passengers of both the cars were unhurt. Both the cars were bearing Kerala registration numbers and one among them was occupied by a family while the driver was the lone occupant of the other car. Auto rickshaw driver escaped with minor injuries. A case stands registered at Ullal police station.
