Bantwal, Jul 12: In a tragic incident which occurred at Bastikody within Chennaithody gram panchayat in the taluk, a youth, whose marriage was to be shortly, committed suicide at his home.
The ill-fated youth has been identified as Baakrishna (32), son of the late Sankappa Moolya from Bastikody . Balakrishna used to work as construction supervisor. On Monday July 11, he did not go for work. Instead, he remained at home and hanged himself in his room when all the family members were away for various purposes.
Policemen said that as per early assessment, financial crisis was the reason for the youngster's decision to kill himself. A complaint about this incident was filed in the rural station here. Policemen have undertaken investigation.
