Mumbai, Jul 12: A thrilling musical treat awaits Konkani fans this Diwali. Wilson Olivera and his team have announced that their next season of shows will be presented at Mumbai this holiday season.
In line with the festive holiday week, several shows are lined up in Mumbai from October 28 to 31 this year. This is indeed going to be a signature event and promises to provide a delightful musical journey for Konkani music lovers.
This series is being made possible by various Konkani organizations of Mumbai. The musical lineup is bound to mesmerize Konkani music lovers, young and old in the city with meaningful lyrics and soulful music by Wilson Olivera and his troupe, coupled with scintillating dance moves and rib-tickling comedy. It will also be a wonderful opportunity to meet with friends in a relaxed atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Wilson Olivera who is well-known as 'Sangeeth Sardar' has seven music albums to his credit and has showcased 42 musical shows in Mangaluru, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain. Wilson has captured the hearts of Konkani music lovers not only with his meaningful lyrics but also with his melodic voice as well. He has also been bestowed with titles like 'Konkan Manik' and has been awarded with the prestigious, 'Konkani Kala Samaj Puraskar' in 1995, 'Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Award' in 2003, 'Divo Sahitya Puraskar' in 2008 and 'Konkani Surdas Puraskar' in 2009.
Strategically organized, touching the nook and corner of Mumbai, the organizers expect a houseful audience of vibrant Konkani speaking Goan and Mangalurean communities to witness the show and are confident that it will definitely be one of the mega musical concerts to ever happen in Mumbai.
