Udupi, Jul 14: A woman hanged herself from a ceiling fan in a room of her home on Tuesday July 13. She used her sari for this act.
Laxmi Acharya, a resident of Marpalli near Korangrapadi in the city ended her life in this way. Her husband and son, who had gone out to attend to work, came back for lunch and found that both the front and rear doors of the house had been bolted from inside. As Laxmi did not open the door in spite of repeated attempts they broke open the rear door and went inside.
They saw that Laxmi had hanged herself with a nylon sari. On the basis of a complaint given by the daughter of the deceased, a case stands registered in the town police station here.
