Why should a lady go for such raids? Whether there is any necessity to depute ladies for such works?

    MADAM KAVITHA,
good job, but i suggest something else. since you have landed in battle please do not concentrate only for shop licences. try to check contractor's licences, vendor's licences, promotor's licences, trader's licences. you may get lot of loop holes.
Every business man or trader should respect to legality, some one has rightly said above that our city has hardly footpath, and that also occupied by petty vendors. please continue raids, sweep them, bring them to system.
but please remember, do not punish them. let them live, but in a systematic way. Raiding is not the only one way to clear illegality, you must find provisions and solutions for their needs and difficulties too.
I hope you would do the best to bring system in the city with proper policy and steps, with legal terms and conditions, punishment along with helping attitude.
God bless you and your team.

I do agree with Manoj, Mangalore that the shops should adhere to the rules of renewal of license and most important is the shop on the ground floor of the buildings near the central market should not use the footpath to keep their stock of goods the authorities should look into it. Hence the shoppers can move easily, specially senior citizens. The parking of vehicles should be made easy by following the rules.

Along with checking the validity of licence, can some action be taken to clean the surrounding areas of the central market, which looks dirtier than a dumping ground of daily waste of Mangalore. Further some immediate action is also required to clear the animals roaming around.

MCC please look into foot path of mangalore city, most of vendors occupied footpaths by keeping their luggages and there is no space to public to walk.strict actions must initiate with penalty.and if required public help must be taken by giving actual pictures as a evidence.

All licences (Xerox copy ) should be framed and hanged near the door like most of the developed and gulf countries. Name of the license holder and expiry date should be in big bold letters and clearly visible. This will bring discipline and fear among shop keepers in breaking the laws.

Well done, Please dont check only the renival of licence, Please restudy the licence for the subject limit of business also ,because 75 % licences are for just for trade only but the actual business is different, please hold illegal business, follow the bylaws of City corporation, also measure the are of business and compare with the actual location which is most important. also note one shop owner is having several shops and several shops with single licence, What is the trade mark used for identification ? think about Numbering also so that a public will understood wethear the shop is legal or not.
