Bhatkal, Jul 18: “The death of DySP Ganapati has exposed hafta extortion racket in the police department. This death is a government sponsored murder. And the minister K J George should resign immediately,” said the president of Rashtriya Hindu Sena, Pramod Muthalik.

Muthalik was speaking to the media here on Sunday, July 17.

“Siddaramaiah led government has failed to provide corruption-free and transparent administration. Extortion has been going on without any brake applied. Illegal sand trade has crossed a stage beyond control. DySP Anupama Shenoy has resigned for this purpose only. George not resigning till now is a shameful thing and it is an insult to 6. 5 crores people of the state. George should be dropped from the cabinet immediately,” Muthalik added.

“When militant Burhan Wani was killed by our soldiers, 40,000 people participated in support of him during his funeral. This is a danger sign for India. And here in nearby Murdeshwar, there is a restriction by police to use DJ during a wedding procession. This is against law. There are clear directions from Supreme Court regarding the wedding, religious and funeral processions. Yet the police have served notice and that shows how biased our system is and where it has reached.” Muthalik said.

“There are incidents of keeping meat at temples to damage the sanctity of places of worship and disturb the peace in society. There are attempts to disrupt the peace at Bhatkal. Police should immediately arrest the culprits.” Muthalik demanded referring to the recent incident that took place here.

Jayantha Nayka and Suresh Nayka were present with Pramod Muthalik.
