Mangaluru University to start MA course in Konkani

Mangaluru, Jul 22: Mangaluru University will be starting MA course in Konkani in its evening college from August 2016. The post-graduate degree course in Konkani was available only in Goa University in the country earlier.

Mangaluru University has prepared the syllabus for the academic year 2016-17 with the cooperation of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy and Konkani Study Chair.


University College 

As the classes are held in the evenings, the employed, public and house wives also will be able to pursue their post-graduate degree in Konkani. Scholarships for the course will be provided by the academy, groups and organizations.

    Hearty Congratulations to Mr. Roy Castelino and his team at Karnataka KOnkani Sahitya Academy. Mr. Roay and his team has worked relentlessly to get a chair of Konkani at Mangalore University and are able to start the postgraduate degree courses at University. This is a significant milestone in the development of Konkani language.

    It is good only in DK. Waste of time money. We must have only one language in country and that should be international language ENGLISH in all college and higher education.
    Please this is my opinion because when ever I go for interview they greet/ask questions/replies in English only. So let us think which will be good for us.

    Artist or Jokers,
    does not matter
    As long as someone has ability
    to complete the syllabus
    and perform his duty fully satisfaction of the University.
    One need to be have ability
    No nee to go to collage
    Just walk in front of the school is Enough,
    I have seen a person 9th fail in India became successful industrialist at abroad and paying high salary to US Europeans, he told me this dialogue to US Europeans in his Factory.

    Try yourself and encourage others to join in the Konkani stream, academic, mission for the future generation....

    MA holders will be the future lecturers which will earn them a livelihood.
