Biodiversity workshop at St Aloysius College from Jul 23

Mangaluru, Jul 23: St Aloysius College (Autonomous), in association with Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru will organise a three-day workshop on biodiversity and natural resources from July 23 to 25.

Well known scientist from the Centre for Ecological Studies, IISc, Dr T V Ramachandra and his team are the resource persons. The need for conservation and scientific management of all natural resources in general and water in particular will be addressed during the workshop. Along with this, development of skills of experimentation, observation, documentation, data management, presentation and publication will be imparted to students. They will address the undergraduate students and faculty on methods of assessing village biodiversity, undertaking biodiversity studies of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.

The team will also share their expertise on aquatic ecosystem, terrestrial ecosystem and birds and butterfly diversity. Those interested to participate in the three-day programme can contact: 9449664651.
