Bhatkal: Hit by speeding car, two horses die

Bhatkal, Jul 27: After a Maruti car hit two horses which were together crossing the national highway 66 at Jagatebail near Venkatapura in the taluk on the night of Monday July 25, both the animals lost their lives.

The horses were crossing the road at night, when the car in question which was moving to Udupi from Honnavar hit them directly at high speed. Both the horses died on the spot.

The car belonged to Ravi Adiga from Udupi. The front portion of the car was badly damaged in the accident, but those in the car escaped unhurt. A case about this incident was registered in the rural police station here.
