CID arrests another accused in DySP Kallappa suicide case

Bengaluru, Jul 30: Criminal investigation department (CID) is vigorously continuing with the investigation into deputy superintendent of police (DySP), Kallappa Handibag's suicide case. On Friday another accused was nabbed by the CID, taking the number of arrests in the case to eight.

The person arrested now is Vijay Kumar, a resident of Doddabommasandra. It is said that Vijay was a member of the gang which kidnapped Chikkamagaluru-based financier, Tejas Gowda.

Vijay happens to be a painter by profession and he joined hands with the abduction plan carried out by Praveen Khandya, a pro-Hindu activist, because of lure of money, policemen say.
