here in kuwait I saw many people waste food. if they knew how difficult it is to gather a grain probably they would not waste i believe. it is good to know that children are interested.but after few years i dont think there will be any paddy fields around Mangalore/udupi. already many paddy fields are swallowed by huge apartments!!!

While I fully agree with you, I must say, I have seen food being wasted both in India and Africa, where many people find it hard to get even one meal a day.

Appears to be the good programme organized by the National Service Scheme unit of Vidyaniketan first Grade College at Kaup in the taluk in order to impart adequate knowledge about farming and its hardships faced by the farmers.
Students were allowed to experience for themselves the act of planting of paddy seedlings in agricultural field.
The programme was organized by the organizers with the specific aim of introducing the youth to the nuances of farming and giving them an opportunity to learn agricultural techniques by themselves. Hats off to the organizers.
But this should not be one day affair and for publicity. This should be continued for ever. Do you think that all the students who have participated in the unique programme have really evinced their interest? Or will they take up as their profession after they finish their education for their livelihood?.This time many of them have shown their interest because they will be shown in the TV news channels and publish their names in the daily news papers.
Purpose, motive or object of organizing such programmes is the need of the hour. But for the implication of the same, we have to wait and see. In fact, if we train our youngsters to get into these agricultural activities with clear focus on producing agricultural products, there won’t be any food scarcity in the coming days. Besides a drastic downfall in the prices of rice and other agricultural can be noticed.
Now the question is, in this era of technology, will the students opt for this agricultural activities?.Million Dollar question. Crack it

Excellent steps taken by Mr. K.P. Achar we want to make our district clean and green. This training will encourage the students who took a part in farming job. If every body interested in this activity then there will be no scare-city of rice as well as the price of rice will be automatically decreased Congrats by: Abdul Sattar F/o Mohammed Anas STD V.
