Sacred Heart Girls’ High School bags Serra Scripture quiz trophy

Bengaluru, Aug 8: The Sacred Heart Girls High School team comprising Navya Shaju, Anjali Catherine and Deanne D’Lima won the first place Rolling Trophy of the 12th annual Scripture Quiz contest organised by Serra Club, here.


As many as 23 teams from 12 English medium Catholic schools in the city took part in the annual quiz contest held at the Catholic Club on Saturday August 6.

This year’s theme was ‘Mercy’ and the questions and visuals were from the Gospel according to St Luke.

The 2nd and 3rd prize winners were St Francis Xavier Girls High School and Sophia High School respectively, who were also awarded a Rolling Trophy each. These winning teams with the team from Cluny Convent had a perfect score on their written test.

Sophia High School and St Francis Xavier Girls High School had 2 teams each at the final round.
The quiz was conducted by Bobin John.

A special highlight of the day was the felicitation to Archbishop Dr Bernard Moras, who was presented a spiritual bouquet and a purse in honour of his 75th birthday on August 10.
The Serra Club of Bangalore was chartered in 2003 and has worked tirelessly to encourage vocations.

The Catholic Club president Alton Veigas, presented the prizes and rolling trophies. Jessie Almeida proposed the vote of thanks.
