Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Aug 18: In connection with an incident in which a KSRTC bus parked in the private bus stand here was torched at night nine months back, the police have arrested another accused. The person now arrested is said to be an activist of Bajrang Dal.

The man arrested now happens to be Prajwal (27), resident of Nekkila in Bannur, Puttur taluk. Another accused, Jayanth (25) from Aryapu had been arrested on August 5 for the same crime.

Reportedly Prajwal was earlier arrested in an attempt to murder case and has criminal antecedents. He was in judicial custody earlier, after having been named as accused in murder attempt case relating to right of way dispute at Ubaradka village, Sullia taluk.

As soon as he secured bail and came out from the district prison at Mangaluru, Puttur police took him into custody for his participation in KSRTC bus torching incident. He was produced in the court here on Wednesday, and he was remanded to judicial custody.

It is gathered that Jayanth's hearing is scheduled to take place in the court on Thursday, and sources said that Prajwal will also be presented in the court at that time.

Why do we need the organization run by criminal members? If law and order is strict, police undertake unbiased investigations, criminals will be in jail society can live in peace! I wonder why people not boycotting and isolating such criminals??? Who is their support??? In this case they have burn tax payers property for creating unrest and violence!! They should be made to pay the damages in full!! If it happens....DK will be liberated from these banes of Rakshaks!!!
