Kannur, Aug 20: A BJP worker died after a country bomb exploded in his house on the night of Saturday August 20. The incident took place at Kottayampoil near Kuthuparamba in Kannur district.
The deceased has been identified as Deekshith (26).
It is suspected that Deekshith was preparing the country bomb at home.
His house was completely destroyed in the incident. He was alone at home at the time.
The explosion took place on the first floor of the house, initial investigations revealed.
The body has been shifted to Thalassery community hospital.
Kadirur police arrived at the spot and investigations are on.
