Mangaluru, Aug 23: A complaint has been lodged in Kavoor police station in the city against a youth from Bondel. The complainant woman has alleged that the man in question got introduced to her over Facebook, after which he raped after after tricking her into believing that he would marry her.
It is said that the 26-year-old lady from Panjimogaru here came to know about Muhammed Samsheer (29), a resident of Krishnanagara, Bondel, through Facebook about four years back.
Samsheer in course of time, succeeded in earning the woman's trust and getting her phone number, it is said. It has been alleged that he talked to her about his undying love for her and developed illicit relationship with her. But recently she found that he was distancing from her.
The woman found that Samsheer's engagement has been performed with another girl. Marriage invitations have been distributed. On the basis of the woman's complaint, Kavoor police have registered the case and begun investigation.
