Mysuru, Aug 24: A young student of a private school at Periyapatna in the district died on Tuesday August 23 morning under suspicious circumstances. The unlucky victim has been identified as Mohit Gowda (7), son of BJP leader and former municipal councillor, Srinivas.

Srinivas has filed police complaint expressing suspicion about his son's sudden death. He said that his son had attended school as usual on Tuesday and that at 3.15 pm he received a call from a person who asked Srinivas to come to school as his son was suffering from giddiness. He said he rushed to school, and admitted his unconscious son into the government hospital, where doctors who examined the boy pronounced him brought dead.

The doctors said that body has been sent to K R Hospital Mysuru for conducting postmortem. Police visited the spot and obtained statement from the parents.

A year back, a mysterious death had happened in the same school. A child named Sanmith, son of another BJP leader and former municipal councillor, Sohan, had suddenly disappeared from school on June 10, 2015. His body was found floating in a pond near the school on June 12.
