Mangaluru: City gears up for evening Mosaru Kudike celebrations

Mangaluru, Aug 25: The Mosaru Kudike Utsav which is part of Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated throughout city in the evening on Thursday, August 25.

Tiger dance and the chende will be part of celebrations. Processions will be taken from different localities of the city later in the evening.

Kadri, Kulshekar and Attavar are some of the famous Mosaru Kudike events in city.

    While its good to celebrate festivals one must not do it at the cost of spoiling our already Potholed roads.
    You can see that holes are dug on the Tarred and Concrete roads to erect the Bamboo poles or scaffoldings .
    This is downright Criminal and the Local administration should insist the Organisers to
    1)Close the Holes ..2) Fine them.(Mumbai Court has asked the Mumbai municipality to collect Rs 2000/- as fine for every hole dug.)
    These small holes become Craters after some days and we blame the Authorities !!
    The DC should pass an order prohibiting digging on the Public Roads and erecting Banners which deface the City.
