It would be good if they introduced body scanning with Xray backscatter technology like the TSA does in the US. They would be able to catch all kinds of body cavity smuggling - gold, grugs, you name it.

I personally very satisfied with the services at Mangaluru airport though there is always a window of improvement. We were demanding for an international airport at the first place and a direct flight from Dubai followed by flights from other parts of gulf countries. This dream was made true. Thanks for all authorities for this possible.

Yes, any improvement is for betterment of Mangaluru.

    Good luck.

Mangalore International airport should have provided more baggage scanning tools for 'GOLD'.

It is the only airport of my experience where passenger has to wait one hour for baggage even for one international flight landing. It also only airport in India where outbound passenger heading for home is pat scanned for gold in India.

Thanks to unique ability of customs department for all the delays.

Also, if you can increase the conveyer belts for International flights and increase scanners for hand luggage and also immigration counters. Lot of time is being wasted for immigration/scanning/ baggage arrival.

A very smart initiative by Mangaluru Airport. Hope their example is followed by other airports, where the latest safety equipments have not yet been installed.

After all, the primary motto should be "Safety first".
