Moodbidri: Film festival of acclaimed films at Moodbidri

Moodbidri, Sep 22: A film festival comprising of mainstream and regional films which were chosen at Mumbai International Film Festival will be held here between September 24 and 26. General public will have free entry.

The festival is being held under the aegis of films division, information and public relations department, Alva's Education Foundation, and postgraduate section of the department of journalism of Alva's College.

The screening will take place at Kumvempu auditorium of Alva's degree college after the inaugural slated for 2 pm on September 24. Films to be screened are Agli Baar (India) at 2.30 pm on Saturday, My Name is Salt (Switzerland) at 2.45 pm, Placebo (India) at 4.30 pm, and The Queen of Silence (Poland) at 6.15 pm.

Poom Sang (India) will be exhibited at 10 am on September 25, followed by Far From Home (Denmark) at 11 am. At 2 pm that day, Indian film, Rasan Piya, will be screened. The Immortals (India) at 3.30 pm and Fire Files the Abays (Iddia) are the other movies being screened that day.

Letter from Koralai and Famous in Ahmedabad (India) will be presented at 3.15 pm on September 26. 18 feet (India) will be screened at 4.15 pm, followed by Brief Life of Insect and Going Home (India) slated for 5.45 pm that day.

This was stated by district information officer, B A Khader Sha, in a release from Mangaluru.
